Mr. Joseph Umar Bibinu – Registrar

Mr. Joseph Umar Bibinu is an astute education administrator cum academic with three decades of work experience in the education system. He was appointed the second substantive Registrar on 25th March 2022.

Born in 1963, Mr Bibinu is a 1994 graduate of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he bagged a B.Ed in Christian Religious Studies. He has a MA degree from the University of Jos, and he is currently a doctoral student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

He joined the services of the Taraba State University as a Principal Assistant Registrar, having spent over 10 years as a Lecturer at the College of Education, Jalingo. He rose through the ranks to become Director, Central Administration and Council Matters before he was appointed Acting Registrar on 9th February 2021, a position he held until he was appointed substantive Registrar on 25th February 2022.

An ASCONIAN, Mr Bibinu belongs to many professional bodies locally and internationally. Notable among them are the Teachers Registration Council, TRC, International Institute of Christian Studies, USA, and the National Association of Christian Religious Education of Nigeria, NACREN. He also has several publications locally and internationally to his credit.

Mr Bibinu is a devout Christian married to one wife and has three biological children and several adopted ones. He loves singing and playing the piano during his leisure time.
