Mr. Abraham A. Bagu is the third substantive Bursar of Taraba State University Jalingo. He holds a Bachelor’s of Accounting from the University of Maiduguri, an MBA in Financial Accounting from the National Open University of Nigeria, and a PhD student at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Born on 28th December 1972, Mr Abraham hails from Kurmi Local Government of Taraba State. As a trained Accountant, he belongs to many professional bodies such as the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and the Institute of Chartered Economics of Nigeria.
Until he was appointed Acting Bursar by the Visitor to the University on 18th December 2021, he was Assistant Director with the Office of the State Auditor General. On 25th February 2022, he was appointed a substantive Bursar after a competitive selection process.
He is happily married to Mrs Blessing Abraham Bagu.
